1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device so it can recognise your browser on a later request. Similar technologies such as local storage work the same way. Under the ePrivacy Directive and the GDPR, everything other than strictly necessary storage requires your prior consent.

2. What this site stores

Strictly necessary — no consent required

• wtn-consent-v1 (local storage, kept until you clear it): remembers whether you accepted or rejected advertising cookies, so the banner does not reappear on every page. It contains only the word "accepted" or "rejected" and never leaves your device.

Advertising — only after you accept

• Google AdSense cookies (set by Google, typically up to 24 months): used to deliver advertising, limit how often you see the same ad, and measure ad performance. Typical names include __gads, __gpi and IDE from doubleclick.net.

Until you press "Accept", the AdSense script is not loaded and Google Consent Mode v2 is initialised with ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage all set to denied.

None. This site uses no analytics or statistics cookies of any kind.

3. Your choice

When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept or reject advertising cookies. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and rejecting does not limit any feature of the site — the clock, the search and the location lookup all keep working.

You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Look for "Privacy and security" in Chrome and Edge, "Privacy & Security" in Firefox, or "Privacy" in Safari. Blocking all cookies may affect other websites you use.

5. Third-party information

Advertising cookies are set by Google. Details of how Google uses this data are in Google's partner-sites policy, and you can adjust personalisation at Google Ad Settings.

6. Changes
